Stan Wyllie sent in this picture of "Revelation", a 1982 Oday 25' Sloop sailing in the Atlantic outside Daytona Beach, Fla. "I used to sail my O'Day many times to the Abaco Bahamas and several times sailed it from Walker Cay to Daytona Beach, Fla. It takes 29 hours. I don't have my boat anymore -- I live in the north Georgia mountains now and I hope whoever has the boat now sails it as much as I did. I've sailed the Gulf Stream in my O'Day 25 when other bigger and stronger boats wouldn't. She sailed with a bone in her teeth."

From Daniel Friedman: Here's my boat, Steve, on the ground at Marlboro Yacht Club on April 11th 2002 after being struck by a van operated by an uninvited guest who was "taking in the sights" at the club. Luckily no one was hurt, and I'm told that the van was damaged more than either of the two boats it struck when the driver stepped on the gas instead of the brake while backing towards the river. Maybe lucky also that his van was stopped by a boat or the driver may have been the first launch of the 2002 boating season. More luck, my neighboring on the starboard side had just been moved, leaving a hole in our winter drydock lineup. We park our boats pretty close together. One tip-over can domino more boats. As members are often in the yard working on boats in the spring, I'm mostly glad that no one was in the line of fire this time. Otherwise someone might have joined the fellow for whom the boat is named. Steve (the boat) will be resting a bit in this position waiting for an insurance inspection. Bit of a slow start into the Hudson River this spring.

Dan Wisnousky sails his 1984 O'Day 222, hull # 94, out of Swartz Marina on Saylorville Reservoir just north of Des Moines, IA. He named the boat "Wizzer II" after his father's boat that he grew up with, and on which he fell in love with sailing. (Update: I bought that boat from Dan in May of 2003. I renamed it MoonDance and sail it on Lake Macbride in east central Iowa. -- Jim Weaver)

Steve Rooney purchased his O'Day Sprite from a farmer in Franklin, Vermont. The picture shows the fully rigged Sprite with a hefty load sailing on Lake Carmi in Northern Vermont near the Canadian border on a typical sparkling summer day (notice the beach wear).

John Boyce enjoys sailing his 1982 O'Day 25, "Care Free", on Lake Michigan out of St. Joseph, Michigan.

Gary LeBlanc is shown sailing his O'Day 28, Brise de Mer, on the Baie des Chaleurs (Gulf of St-Lawrence) in the early summer evening.

Aaron Bailey of Gainesville sails his 1978 O'Day 25, "Kruso", out of Gulfport, Florida on the west coast. He's had Kruso for over 8 years, and took this picture during Easter weekend 2002 on his way to Caladesi Island. Aaron says "We had a great long weekend with great weather and beautiful sunsets." Way to go, Aaron!

Bill Mackenzie's 1977 O'Day 25, "Annie's Song", is shown on Carlyle Lake in Illinois. Bill's daughter Katie is taking the swim.

Pat and Debi Hentschell graduated from an O'Day 28 to their current boat, a 1989 O'Day 322 named Terra Mare. Says Pat: "We sail in Narragansett Bay in the Newport Rhode Island area. Frequently hopping to Block Island and Martha's Vineyard. Excellent sailing grounds.

Rob Doak powers his boat at Compo Yacht Basin - Westport, CT in May (maintenance month), 2001. Miss "Q" is a recently acquired 1981 28' Sloop.
